Steve Brown

Steve Brown

Steve Brown has been active in the broadcasting industry for over twenty-five years, having obtained his first job in radio while still in high school. During his freshman year at Emerson College, Steve founded a successful radio news service providing reports from the Massachusetts State House for dozens of radio stations from around the state. and served as president of the State House Broadcaster's Association for eight years. In 1987, Steve joined the news staff of WMJX/WMEX in Boston, where he served as a reporter and anchor. While at WMJX/WMEX, Steve was a key player in the station's award winning coverage of the 1988 Presidential Campaign. He was also the Executive Producer of the radio documentary "From Massachusetts to the Moon" which was honored with awards from educators and his peers. In late 1990, Steve shifted his attentions to television, joining WLVI TV in Boston as a free-lance reporter & writer. One year later, Steve became a writer/producer at WBZ TV in Boston, where he still occasionally works on a free lance basis. In 1996, Steve founded Bangzoom Productions. Also in 1996, Steve joined forces with Noah Brookoff to form SeniorVision Productions in an effort to produce a nationally syndicated, half-hour news magazine aimed at the over-fifty audience. He holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Emerson College in Boston. He has also been awarded a certificate of professional achievement from Northeastern University in web site development.
